Taylored Expressions Release Day: Llove you llots!

Hello everyone!

Today is the day! Taylored Expressions January Release Day! All of the stamps, watercolor panels, and other great goodies that we have been sharing with you this week are now on sale! However, before you head to the store, why not stay for a few and check out a couple more cards that I have made. :D

First up, I used the sweet Llama Love Stamp & Die Combo to make a lovey dovey llama card.

I stamped the llama, coordinating scarf, and sentiment on white cardstock and colored with Copic markers. I used the coordinating dies to cut out the llama and scarf and then adhered them together.
For the sentiment I used the Little Bits - Let's Chat 1 die.

There are lots of layers on this card cut out using various dies. Stitched Circle Stacklets were used to cut out a circle from Simple Stories Winter Wonderland designer paper and vellum, which were layered together. The Frame in Frame 2 Cutting Plate was used to cut a scalloped rectangle frame from Toffee Cardstock and the Stitched Rectangle Stacklets were used to cut out a white panel. The white panel was also run through the Chevron Embossing Folder (love). I used a paper trimmer to cut a panel from black cardstock and an accent strip from green cardstock. Finally I used the Small Scallop Border to cut a second piece of designer paper that was then trimmed to length.

At this point I arranged all of the layers and adhered using a combination of liquid glue and foam dots. I finished up with a few dots of Tonic Studios Nuvo Drops in Glossy English Mustard.

For my second card I used one of the Inspire Watercolor Panels I colored on Monday to make a fun shaker card!

I created a shaker box using vellum, designer paper and the Stitched Frame Stacklets 1 dies. I filled with a combination of white beads and pink/white/gold sequins. It is a subtle shaker but fun. :D To accent the watercolor panel I trimmed a couple strips of paper and die cut a couple tabs using the Bitty Banners dies.

Thanks for stopping by! :)

TE January Sneak Peeks: Be-you-tiful

Hello everyone!

How is your Monday? Hopefully it is a good one! I'm delighted to start the day by sharing some crafty pretties with you. It is day one of sneak peeks for the January release from Taylored Expressions and I have some delightful illustrations to share with you this month. The first is delightful set of watercolor panels for coloring: Watercolor Panels Inspire

I pulled out my Sakura Koi Watercolors and colored four of the panels (there are 4 designs and you get 3 of each design for a total of 12 panels). I may need a bit of practice with the watercolor brushes... or a smaller brush. :D

I picked my favorite panel once it was dry and made a card with it. I kept the layout simple so that the panel was not overshadowed by the other elements. I used the Frame in Frame 2 Cutting Plate to cut out a scallop border from Cookie Monster cardstock and used the largest one. I also backed the panel with some Doodlebug Color Vibe II designer paper. For embellishments I added a bit of May Arts Natural Jute, Tonic Studios Honey Gold Glitter Nuvo Drops, and a few yellow enamel dots.

Do you like it? I'm happy with how it turned out. And here is a picture of all of the colored panels all together. Now I just need to make a few more cards.

That’s it for me today! I hope you’ll head over to the Taylored Expressions Blog to check out what everyone else has created for today’s sneak peeks!

TE Release Day - Deck the halls and the tags!

Hello!

Today is release day for Taylored Expressions and all of the new products are available in the Online Store. I hope you have fun shopping and I will be delighted to see what you make with the new stamp sets.

Of course release day wouldn't be complete without more samples. I thought I would share a project using another product that I did some design work on. I am a huge fan of making tags and was delighted when Taylor gave the green light to the Trim The Tag die set concept. She provided a fun tag base and I created clothes. No naked tags around here. ;) There is a Santa, Mrs. Clause, and a festive elf.

I used the dies to make six quick tags, two of each design. I used a variety of designer papers for a different look and feel on each tag. Except the elves. They are twins. ;)

Here are closeups of my favorite ones:

Mrs. Clause with the very faint blue polka dots.

And I gave her dress a bit of sass with more polka dots.

Elves need stripe-y pants, right? I thought so.

A traditional red Santa suit makes me the happiest!

Of course I had to add a bit of glitter to each outfit just for fun. Also, all of the sentiments on the tags are from the previously released Little Bits of Christmas stamp set. Besides gift packaging you could also use the tags as place settings - just write names where I added the sentiments.

Thank you for stopping by! I hope you enjoyed today's project.

Head over to the Taylored Expressions Blog for more inspiration and to see all the details on the release.

TE Sneak Peeks: All I want for christmas is... a vacation?

Hello! So glad you could stop by today for a couple sneak peeks for the October Taylored Expressions Release

I had a ton of fun illustrating a few sets for this release and I'm hoping you enjoy them. There is another addition to the Grumpling line with the Elf Grumplings Stamp & Die Combo. More pick your favorite face fun with the new If Penguins Could Talk Stamp & Die Combo. And finally a delightful set of critters trying out as Santa’s Helpers (plus matching die set).

Sadly, I haven't had time to use all of the new sets but I did make a couple of cards with the new Elf Grumplings Stamp & Die Combo. Heh. Just had to. Enjoy!

Elf Number 1 just wants a bit of recognition for his hard work. And maybe some chocolate. I used designer paper and a bunch of dies for the layers: Stitched Circle Stacklets, Stitched Banner Stacklets, and Chunky Numbers. I colored the elf with Copic Markers and used a bit of a glitter pen and Glossy Accents on his belt buckle. I also added some white freckles using a white gel pen. For a final touch I added some enamel dots.

Yes, that is the face of someone who really wants chocolate. ;)

For card number two I used the same supplies but instead of Stitched Circle Stacklets, I used the Stitched Rectangle Stacklets. And Elf Number 2 is in dire need of a vacation. Candy canes are about to fly.

Thanks for stopping by! I'm hoping a bit of Christmas grumpiness made you happy. Head over to the Taylored Expressions Blog to see all the sneak peeks for today!
