Fall leaves

Hello! How about another project today? Now that it is November I thought it would be a good idea to switch to making some thanks cards.

I recently picked up the Tim Holtz Fall Foliage Thinlits Dies and just had to use them. I colored several sheets of watercolor paper with various colors of Distress Strain, using Ground Espresso to make them a bit grungy. Once dry I stamped them with CMS185 Graph & Croc stamps in VersaMark and heat embossed with Gold Embossing Powder.

I then cut out a bunch of leaves from the colored watercolor paper and a twig from some brown cardstock. I layered the leaves over a decorated cardbase (gold glittery paper, designer paper and jute) and adhered them in place with Glossy Accents. I finished with a “happy thanksgiving” button I made. I had many leftover leaves so you might be seeing another project or two featuring them. :)
